Indigo is a natural dye, one of the oldest dyes in the world, and has been used in many cultures, such as in India, China, Egypt, and Japan.

Shibori is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, tying, and twisting the fabric before dyeing to create unique patterns.

In this workshop, we will learn how to extract color and explore various folding, tying, and twisting techniques to create unique patterns on fabric.

Participants will take home their own hand-dyed cotton tote bag.

The class includes:

  • 1 cotton tote bag

  • All necessary equipment

  • Notes
