About
Theodora Androni is an artist, textile designer and the founder of The Botanical Project, a Greek slow fashion brand rooted in sustainability and inspired by nature.
With a deep passion for craftsmanship and ethical fashion, she specializes in natural dyeing techniques, using plants, flowers, and organic materials to create unique, eco-friendly garments.
She has studied Anthropology, as well as Western and Chinese herbal medicine. She is a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher and also teaches meditation and pranayama. Her approach has been holistic since childhood, eventually crystallizing into the creation of her own sustainable brand. Whenever given the opportunity, she speaks about ethical consumption and has been a TEDx speaker on sustainable and slow fashion.
Starting in 2021, through intensive study, she began experimenting with silk. As she aimed to perfect her techniques, she spent three years— and continues to— attend workshops on natural dyes in various regions around the world. All fabrics are dyed exclusively by Theodora.
In the autumn of 2024, she opened her own natural dye studio in Athens — a vibrant, living space where undyed fabrics come to life through natural dyes.
Beyond her work as a natural dyer, Theodora is also dedicated to sharing her knowledge through hands-on workshops, where she teaches the art of botanical dyeing, blending traditional textile practices with contemporary design.
